Dan Hegstad - Speaker, Trainer

Speaking Of Speaking: You can be a great speaker

I was once asked to judge a speech contest of high school and middle school students.  As I listened to the speeches I kept thinking, 'if only I could have worked with these kids for an hour or two a couple weeks ago their speeches would be so much better.'  Knowing and implementing a few fundamental things will make a tremendous difference.  Why learn from your own mistakes?
You'll learn the 10 things that pros know and amateurs learn the hard way. Usually a workshop, but can be a keynote
Overconfidence is #10.   If you don't think you need this, you need it more than ever!
Speaking Of Speaking covers:
  • Preparation: What To Do Before A Speech.  This is critical.
  • The Speech: How to write a speech.  Begin with a great ending.
  • How to relax and maybe even enjoy it!
  • Delivery: How to present your speech, gestures, notes, technology
  • What to do when things go wrong, which is almost always
  • The Business: The Business of Speaking (optional)
I'm also available for speech coaching for individuals and groups
